To read more, simply let me know. I can inundate you wtih words! The time of night itself is emphasized in this darkness. It’s the time of night that pushes past a late hour and into a realm that only exists for the individual in it. The acceptance of the time is part of the entry into this realm. Without that acceptance one will never feel this weight. The movie got out at one thirty. It was late. Dead late. Walking to the theatre was one thing. Energy surrounded the streets, headlights had just begun to turn on and the anonymity among this was her shield. But at one thirty it had died. The secrets of green lawns were being broadcasted as the sprinklers had either come on or were about to. That fact ignored set her next blunder in motion. Finding the form of another body across the street hidden from direct light, her pace quickened. The curb was the next step. What was thought to be solid ground became the freshly soaked dirt she needed to support her. Acting as mud will, in fear, she slipped. Fear of her pace halted and fear of embarrassment. She had managed to find the only person alive at the moment to witness her trip. One particular pine, having shown its supremacy over the others, loaned one of its arms for a swing. Dad, encouraging me to follow him around, watch him do odd jobs around the house, would answer my questions, even accept my ideas of projects to be done. His hands, rough and old, would glide through the air, explaining various concepts to me. His portrayal of a piping system to a wide-eyed girl involved index finger touching thumb on each hand. The simple gesture grabbed my attention—the little I was capable of—and whisked my imagination around as if swinging in rhythm to Dad’s own hand movements. http://www.lac.bz/Drawings
